My statement to patients

I am Melissa Sarhan, Nurse Practitioner and proprietor of Advanced Practice Nurse Source, LLC. I look forward to providing you excellent service in a simple, unhurried and practical format. As a busy mom and professional, I understand just how hard it can be to get to a provider when you are ill. There is the commute, the wait, the uncertainty of how long it will take. I get it. I am here to help. It is my goal to make the process of being seen by a provider as easy and painless as possible. Not all illnesses are appropriate for telehealth, so please see my list of appropriate illnesses for more information. I look forward to meeting you and helping you with your healthcare needs.

A little about me

I graduated from the University of Arkansas (Go Hogs!) with my bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2004 and obtained my master’s degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University in 2007. I am board certified as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse Credentialing Center. I have practiced in clinics, skilled nursing facilities, patient homes, and in the university health clinic setting. I have held multiple leadership roles with my credentialing body as well as within Kaiser Permanente during my 10 year tenure there before setting out on my own. I currently serve as Graduate Faculty and Success Manager for the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at Grand Canyon University in addition to my clinical practice. My family moved to beautiful sunny Phoenix about a year ago and we love the culture and environment, though I do miss my Washington rain at times.

When I am not working, I enjoy time with my family & pets, kickboxing, traveling, and listening to audio books.
